12 Days of Rest-mas is a self-directed program designed to support you learning tools and practices that bring ease and rest to your body, mind and soul.

The journey is intended to easily fit into your busy life in the comfort of your own home.

You’ll receive:

  • creative and insightful somatic movement exercises

  • a variety of short rest practices 

  • full yoga nidra (yogic sleep) meditations 

to support you incorporating the vital medicine of rest into your life.


About the program

 

A three phase journey

The program follows the Daring to Rest Method
and unfolds in three phases:

Day 1-4, The Rest Phase: connecting to your body & recognizing physical exhaustion

Day 5-8, The Release Phase: awareness of mental and emotional exhaustion & foster your intuition

Day 9-12, The Rise Phase: connecting to our inner knowing & rising up rested

 

The flow of the journey

12 Days of Rest-mas is a self-directed, at home experience. The program is released on December 10th designed for you to finish by the solstice. However you can begin whenever and take as much time as needed to complete. I am here to support you throughout.

Cultivate presence with a brief gentle somatic movement practice and then rest each day with a short 15-20 minute rest practice.

Days 4, 8 and 12 feature longer (approximately 35 minutes) full length yoga nidra meditations.

The course is delivered via downloadable audio files; meaning you can save and take them wherever life takes you. All content is yours to keep forever.

* This program will run inclusively from December 10 through January 31st. Please download all content by this date.

The progam includes

  • A welcome video introducing you to me, yoga nidra and what to expect. You will also be introduced to the concept of a sankalpa, the sanskrit word for intention.

  • Nine 15-20 minute practices including gentle somatic movements to ground and connect to your body, breath-practices, relaxation exercises such as visualizations, body scans and tools designed to increase awareness of thoughts and emotions.

  • 3 full length Yoga Nidra meditations:
    Befriending Sleep, Letting Go, You are the Light

  • Three emails with prompts for journaling and self-reflection

  • Community connection and support in my Facebook E•Motion group and substack

About Erika

Erika fell in love with movement from a young age. An accomplished rhythmic gymnast, choreographer, contemporary dancer, yoga and meditation coach, her practices reconnect you to what your body needs - physically, emotionally & mentally. She has a BA from the University of Guelph, graduated from the Professional Training Program of The School of Toronto Dance Theatre (*now Dance Arts Institute), has completed her 200 hr Blissology Yoga teacher Training and her Daring to Rest Yoga Nidra teacher facilitator training. Erika lives in Ontario, Canada with her family where her two beautiful children also deeply inspire her children's stories and meditations.
